Topical Units
Topical Units within CASCADE
We will strengthen the collaborations beyond existing boundaries between the natural sciences by introducing so-called topical units (TUs) that bring together specialists in computational and methodological topics from the different scientific fields. The TUs are considered as knowledge hubs and are run by up to three different PIs. These persons have the responsibility to address or channel to a competent researcher at the involved institutions any question that arises with respect to the methodology. More precisely, these TUs are:
- TU 1: Simulation [PIs: M. Griebel, B. Kirchner, C. Urbach]
- TU 2: High performance computing [PIs: M. Schweitzer, E. Suarez, C. Urbach]
- TU 3: Quantum many-body systems [PIs: T. Luu, U.-G. Meißner, F. Neese]
- TU 4: Visual computing [PIs: R. Klein, T. Lippert, M. Reuter]
- TU 5: Data-intensive modeling [PIs: H. Dreiner, M. Kramer, M. Griebel]
- TU 6: Machine learning [PIs: S. Mukherjee, J. Schultze, S. Wrobel]
- TU 7: Network models [PIs: K. Amunts, R.-M. Memmesheimer, S. Mukherjee]
- TU 8: Metaphysics [PIs: M. Forster, M. Gabriel, U.-G. Meißner]
